Katherine Heigl has opened up about how she was born into an environment that was a "white bubble" and how the realisation has impacted how she parents her adopted multiracial children. Katherine Heigl, the "Firefly Lane" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actor revealed in a recent interview that in regards to skin color -- she didn't care the way she looked, but after she spoke to her older sister, who was taken in by South Korea, she realized that society was different when it came to each of both. Meg was asked if the way she was treated differed when they were out together with their parents, and the time they were on their own. Meg replied "Oh, yes, every moment!" It made me realize I was so ignorant," Heigl said to Parents. She admitted that she was frustrated, but she felt it was necessary to use her anger to help her children. Heigl has a four year old son and a 13-year-old spouse, Josh Kelley. They have adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 years old in 2009. followed by Adalaide aged 8 who is now old and is Black in 2012.
